Why does a man who covered up child abuse get to keep his job?

Former Scottish Conservative leader David McLetchie took a few taxis he shouldn't have charged to the taxpayer which was clearly wrong, and he lost his job.

This woman broke the law, stupidly, but not hugely, and she lost her job.

This man was party to 2 child victims of sex abuse by a colleague in the same organisation being asked to sign an oath of silence about what had happened to them and he thinks he should keep his job. He seems to think that the fact that he was young and folllowing Bishop's Orders is an excuse.

There are some things that can't simply be resolved by a letter saying sorry.

    I agree re your comments re Cardinal Brady but I think Scotland has problems much closer to home in view of the Hollie Grieg scandal involving the highest echelons of the Scottish legal system -if you dont know about it just google her name

    Indeed, The same excuse Nazi soldiers said when they were on trial after World War 2 for war crimes.

    Hang on a moment - aren't our armed forces also supposed to follow orders regardless? What happens when they are asked to launch Britain's weapons of mass destruction and push the button to launch Trident nuclear weapons and annihilate a medium sized city?

Thanks for your comment. As long as it doesn't libel anyone, and isn't abusive, I'll publish it. I try to respond to as many as I can, but please forgive me if I don't. Sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day. I read and appreciate every one, even those specifically aimed at winding me up.
