Another humiliating climb down for Labour?

Of all the stupid things that this Government has done, abolishing the 10p tax rate was up there with the worst of them. For a party that's supposed to champion the working class, introducing a measure that cost the poorest most was illogical and incomprehensible. It was a disgrace to see people who earned the minimum wage having £30 less in their pockets.

Now the Government might be forced to ensure that nobody is penalised by this measure in a crucial Commons vote on Tuesday, according to the BBC.

Let's just hope that Alistair Carmichael is leading for the Lib Dems, as he has been on three of the four Government defeats in this Parliament!

UPDATE: Just realised this was my 700th post!

Thanks for your comment. As long as it doesn't libel anyone, and isn't abusive, I'll publish it. I try to respond to as many as I can, but please forgive me if I don't. Sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day. I read and appreciate every one, even those specifically aimed at winding me up.
