A gripping tale of what might have been

Some of you may not know that former Lib Dem Director Of Innovations, Mark Pack, is not only a campaigns guru, he's also an elections geek and his particularly speciality is the elections and politics of the 19th century.

He's written this counter factual report of what might have happened if a crucial knife edge vote on the Great Reform Act had led to its defeat rather than its passing.

Ok, so it's about a period in history I find absolutely fascinating anyway, but his account is quite gripping and is definitely worth spending some time on a Summer sunday morning on.

Thanks for your comment. As long as it doesn't libel anyone, and isn't abusive, I'll publish it. I try to respond to as many as I can, but please forgive me if I don't. Sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day. I read and appreciate every one, even those specifically aimed at winding me up.
