Caron's Corkers - 14th August

First up today, a lovely reminder of a perfect moment from Kate.

Stephen wonders if he's a must-read in the Oval Office.

Lallands Peat Worrier has been looking at the reasons for women being less likely to vote for the SNP than men. On the issue of gender balance as a female Liberal Democrat I look quite jealously at the SNP benches which have a much healthier balance of men and women than ours at Holyrood, but the SNP membership is only a third women and the proportion of women with confidence in the Scottish Government has fallen since 2007.  I'd suggest that the answer could be summed up in 2 words - Alex Salmond. His theatrical, macho, aggressive style can be like nails on a blackboard sometimes, and he doesn't come across as someone who has the first clue about real life.

And, finally, SCOT goes Pop has a wee Summer quiz.

Thanks for your comment. As long as it doesn't libel anyone, and isn't abusive, I'll publish it. I try to respond to as many as I can, but please forgive me if I don't. Sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day. I read and appreciate every one, even those specifically aimed at winding me up.
