Cuddling an elephant seal

Ok, so it'll be 6 minutes of your life you won't get back, but this video of an elephant seal coming for a cuddle, available on You Tube here, is so sweet. You can't watch it and be grumpy afterwards.

    Of course animals have feelings. They like and don't like the same as the rest of us. They simply get over things more easily and live in the now, and thus forgive trespasses a lot more quickly. Although no-one will ever know what the seal was 'thinking', whatever it was, was clearly a 'good thing'.
    Animals are not our servants and amusements but rather our fellow travelers. Sad that so many of the 'advanced species' don't see things that way.

Thanks for your comment. As long as it doesn't libel anyone, and isn't abusive, I'll publish it. I try to respond to as many as I can, but please forgive me if I don't. Sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day. I read and appreciate every one, even those specifically aimed at winding me up.
