Totality

Well it should be by now but there's still a white edge to the moon. What's strange is that we're the only family out viewing this. Or maybe we're strange............

Have just remembered I haven't had any dinner. Lovely Oohla's Dunfermline burger at lunchtime has left me satisfied until now.

I don't wish to rain on your parade, but don't lunar eclipses happen really really often ?

So what if they do? This is supposed to be the best in years and the first that the daughter has got excited about.

The next one,in February 2008, happens in the middle of the night so this one is perfectly family friendly.....

Got a photo up on my blog....

It's several years since we've had such a clear one high in the sky. Can even see it with the light polution of London.

Well I enjoyed watching it!

Sadly the missus and youngest were ill in bed and Jimmy (who would have been really excited) sleeps like a log once he's off and couldn't be roused.

According to The Independent the last total lunar eclipse visible in the UK was in 2001. Is that 'really really often' in Norfolk?
