450 babies under a month old die every single hour across the world.
How many of these could be saved if Governments got together and took tough action against formula manufacturers who blatantly disregard the International Code on the Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes? These companies have been able to flout this Code for long enough to increase their own profits.
This is about protecting women and babies across the world, including here, from false claims made by formula manufacturers. The UN rapped our Government as recently as last year for its failures in this regard.
Remember the contaminated baby milk scandal in China earlier this year when 6 babies died and over 30,000 became ill?
If you don't believe me, listen to Mike Brady, the director of Baby Milk Action explaining how formula manufacturers target women when pregnant and new mothers in contravention of the Code.
If you agree with him, please sign up to join the One Million Campaign, a global campaign to support breastfeeding and demand that Governments get tough with the formula manufacturers.

Well done, more people must be aware of this important message. So many people think they are simply making a lifestyle choice when in fact the very fact they believe that shows the misleading nature of foruml;a adertising.
