Caron's International Women's Day Corkers

Today is the 100th  International Women's Day and it's been covered extensively online. Here are a few of my favourites.

Kayleigh, one of the fabulous F1 crowd I hang around with on Twitter, shares her thoughts as a woman working as an engineer in F1.

Lily Greenan is 100% spot on when she writes for Better Nation about domestic violence and the need to have a proper conversation about men behaving badly.

Carolyn has bad news for those of us hoping to see more women in Holyrood after the election - and although current figures look not so bad for the Liberal Democrats, our track record to date is nothing to be proud of, so we should be way ahead of where we are.

Joan McAlpine writes about women's leadership roles in the revolution in Egypt.

Julianne Hensby shares the horrific news that 3564 babies die needlessly every day and argues for progress towards the Millennium Goals around child mortality and maternal health.

I had an e-mail from the Godmothers saying that the Government has still to decide on its contribution to the new UN Women's Agency and asking me to change my Facebook status to:

Proud to be a Godmother to 'UN Women' on International Women's Day. Please join me and give women everywhere a chance - www.thegodmothers.org.uk

And finally, everyone else has put this up. And so they should, cos it's brilliant. It is worth watching to see Daniel Craig in drag.

Thank you for including me in the round-up :)

I hadn't seen the Daniel Craig video - I love it and so pleased that these people have taken the time out to help raise awareness. Absolutely shocking statistics :(
