Well, let's have the case for the prosecution.....
Here is the policy announced yesterday by the SNP, promising a Scottish Future Fund to provide, among other things, a new digital economy, early intervention for kids and warmer homes.
Page 88 of the Scottish Liberal Democrat manifesto gives details of a Scottish Futures Fund to invest in creating 100,000 jobs, a new digital economy, an early intervention revolution and more home insulation.
You know what, though - ours is five times bigger than theirs thanks to Jeremy Purvis' innovative idea which involves turning Scottish Water into a Public Benefit Corporation. Chief Secretary to the UK Treasury Danny Alexander seems to like the idea too, today calling it "credible and strong". He said:
“The Scottish Lib Dems have put forward a credible and strong plan for the future of Scottish Water. “This plan has the potential to be a real win win for Scotland and the UK. “If the next Scottish Government has the political courage to take forward reform of Scottish Water, George Osborne and I will be very open to their constructive proposals.”
They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery - and that certainly seems to be the case here.

It is the only reason I could see for the SNP to delay the launch of their manifesto.
All that cut & paste must take time....
You can spin all you like, you may believe it but no one else does. Go home and prepare for oblivion as David Steel might have said.
LD = Let Down?
SGP - Spend Gigantic Pile?
Anyway, yes, the SNP have basically copied the strategic ideas in our manifesto.
