Happy 60th Birthday to Princess Anne

I know I'm going to get into trouble for this, but I have a lot of time for Princess Anne, who's celebrating her 60th birthday today. If I was designing a constitution for Britain, you can bet your life that a hereditary monarchy would not be part of it, but we have one, and the majority of people want to keep it, so it's not going to change any time soon.

I like Anne so much because she isn't the stereotypical Princess. As a young woman, she went out there and made a name for herself as a top horsewoman - a million miles away from the pretty dresses and tiaras of fairytale Princesses. Growing up in a stifling culture governed by patriarchal protocol, she did her own thing in her own way.

I respect her for having the feistiness to tell intrusive photographers to "naff off" and for the way in which she's calmly got on with supporting her charities and being the hardest working member of the Royal Family.

I wish her well on her "diamond jubilee".

she should naff off - for good said...

Just another Royal scrounger who is given wealth and prestige through no personal skills but because she happened to slide out of the right womb. Can't even be bothered to account for herself and tells people to 'naff off' when they get too nosey.
Why the UK continues to fund the Royal Family Farce is a mystery.
Probably so that fat fools like Prescott can get his bum in The House of Lords. Removing Royalty would stop all the troughers going to 'the other place' as Royalty props up the whole disgusting House of Lords and gongs for 'celebrities' scam.

Yes I'd love to speak to this Royal Scrounger.
I'd say...

"Hey horse features. Why the permanent long face ?"
Despite being ugly and having no talents that are useful to your country you have vast wealth and priviledge.
You will never lie in bed unable to sleep over money worries and job worries.
You and your family will enjoy first class travel and first class toadying from dawn to dusk.
You have won the lottery of life. You shot out of a Royal womb and will live long and healthily with no idea of what a real life would have been like.
At least give us a smile. Or a hee haw.
